21 things I learnt in 2021

2021 was a rollercoaster ride for me and I guess many people had their ups and downs. For me 2021 started bad and January was fine and by the time I kicked off March I was so confused. In April I started my first youtube channel and posted song covers. I posted the songs without a specific routine and then I committed to posting only on Sundays. And I started school in June. I turned 15 in July and I posted a 3 part performance session, my first ever live show on Youtube which premiered on my birthday exactly 3 hours apart each. Things were going well. By September, I released my debut cover album “Hoax” Midnight on the 26th of September. The album featured Taylor swift song covers. I was happy because many people listened to it and liked it. It’s December now and I am still posting covers on Youtube and I released a cover of London boy on Spotify. I feel good because I took a big step in my musical career. I am writing this article about the “21 things I learnt in 2021”

  1. Trust that things will change

I’ve had some moments where I let go and just trust that things will change to be good. I’ve learnt to put my trust in god who I believe is the biggest part of my life.

  2. Do your work on time

Time is a thief for some people but those people are the ones who just don’t know how to use their time wisely. I’ve learnt not to keep things for tomorrow but sometimes I forget. I am still learning.

   3. Have a positive mindset

To be honest this thing I learnt in the beginning of the year has brought me this far. There is a lot of good energy around you.

  4. Family comes first Always.

By the end of the day the people who’ll be clapping for you will be your family members. Never ignore them or desert them for worldly things. Family is god’s gift cherish the moments you have with them.

     5.  Practice is very important in whatever you do

My mom tells me this all the time and when your mom tells you something, you’re sure it is for your own good.

    6. Learn from the past

Adapt to your new life but don’t forget about how hard you were trying to get this new life

   7. Hope for a change good or bad

Always remember that change is necessary. You have to accept change even though its good or bad.

    8. People move on

This is one of the important lessons I’ve learnt. People move on once they’re bored. People move on once you’re all rusted. The saddest part is that we take it too seriously and start breaking down over them. We need to come in terms with the fact that only few people think how shiny you were once and stay with you even though you’re rusted. And that’s the kind of people you must have in your life.

  9. Prioritize God before any person

God was the big reason I’m singing right now. I would never forget what he has done for me and I’m so grateful.

    10. Appreciate what you have

People need to be appreciated for whatever they do, that keeps them going and I hope everyone appreciate things around you. Many people can’t even dream of what you have now.

  11. Music will always be there

This is the most relatable thing in this entire cover story. From the 1st grade kid who listens to the lullaby which he sings with his mom to the Old lady listening to Unchained melody which reminds her of her childhood. Music has been a big part of my life. Whatever age you’re in, you’ll totally agree that music will always be there and the song playing on the radio will bring flashes of fond memories right before your eyes.

   12. Try to step into someone’s shoes

You never know what people are going through every now and then so just don’t be hard on them and respond to them politely.

   13.  Do not let anyone tell you what you must be

You are a person who can make your own choices and don’t ever let anyone tell you how to be or what you should do. You have to make your own choices and that’s the point of life, you must learn to make your own decisions and the right ones.

    14. Making mistakes is fine but making the same ones are unacceptable

You must learn not to make the same mistakes over and over.  You learn from your mistakes but never make one knowing it is a mistake

    15. All that glitters isn’t gold

People have different faces. They show you ones they want to show you and don’t trust people by first impressions. Some might be good but there are also wolves in sheep’s  clothing

    16. Try to learn more about people

I’ve learnt that when you learn more about people it’s like you really feel more connected to them and you feel comfortable being around them and you’ll have that one person you share everything to them without it being awkward and that’s the most biggest feeling in the world. Like finding someone like that is a total blessing.

   17. I’ve learnt how to spend time with my brother

My brother and I don’t have a lot in common but staying in lockdown I’ve learnt to adapt to his lifestyle and he also started doing the things I like and now we both do them together. It’s been real fun and I hope this continues

    18. I’ve learnt more about my younger self and my grandparents and other relatives

Lockdown has been the perfect time to dust those photo albums and ask your mom and dad who are all in the pictures.

     19.  Writing out all your feeling is a good habit

This is the birth of songwriting in its plain form. Writing your feelings is a good thing and not many people do it but you must find a reason to do it. And that’s how I found out how much capability I had in myself.

    20. It’s good to remember things as well as to forget things

Sometimes to need to remember things all too well but sometimes it’s good to forget them. You need to always remember people as the best version of themselves and that will most probably make them double check their choices.

   21. Having no friends is better than having fake ones around you

You don’t want crooks to be around  you to  push you down and acting double faced. It’s better to have no friends at all than have crooks. Find the right friends who would stay by your side even when the whole world is trying to cancel you and I know I’ve found my true friends and I’ve also caught the crooks but I still need to uncover more.
